I can not believe how much William completes us!

Here's just some fun things of late with this awesome, happy, little dude.

We'll act like it's Spring anyways!

 We spent Saturday playing outside at grandma and grandpa's house!  Well for as long as our fingers and noses could take it!  the sun was shining but that didn't exactly mean it was warm.  The calendar says it's Spring so gosh darn it we are going to force it!

 So this was our self portrait.....it was bright, ok?!

We have just been hanging around waiting for spring.  We had a day or two that felt promising and now we're back to the snow....ah that's the Rexburg life.

In the mean time we've  been having fun!

Matthew was entertained, William was not impressed.

 ...and marshmallows?  I swear I feed this girl more than sugar.  No actually she sneaked the marshmallows while I was putting william down and she was so cute I had to take a pic before giving out the no no's.

 This was our nice warm(ish) day.  We were waiting for Matthew to get off the bus.  One plus of having a child with hearing loss is the awesome bus driver moved her stop half a block to smack in front of our place!

 He was so fascinated with the grass!

 Hailey loves to dance like a ballerina, but when I asked what she wants to be when she grows up she said "I want to be a kitty"

Matthew also had his kindergarten circus performance but I need to get some pictures off of Curt's phone before I can post that.  wouldn't you know it my camera batteries died of course...and the spares that I brought in case of that were no good!  that was bad luck.

Happy Half!!

William is 6 months old today!!  Such a wonderful baby and so much fun.  Ok, lets have it, all the cliches...time goes so fast, enjoy his babyness while I can, I wish I could keep him small forever...I suppose they are overused because they are nothing but the truth.  

no stats yet but he's so healthy and happy.  

We battled a small bout of RSV and an ear infection at the same time a week or two ago.  He's a tough guy and was still happier than most (except at night!!)

Sitting up was mastered a month ago but he will NOT roll.  Goof.

it is so easy to make him laugh, but he laughs the most at Hailey.   

In fact he laughs so easy we love to make him laugh while he is whining because he can't help it!  Hilarious, we are mean I know, but hilarious!

Still wakes up 2-3 times a night to eat but goes right back to sleep (except when he had the ear infection)

Naps 3 times a day (LOVE) 10am, 1pm, 5pm (give or take an hour.  I am not good at strict schedules, but he is a go with the flow type of kid.)  Asleep at night by 8pm...ish

BEST BABY EVER

on another topic...Matthew is doing well in Kindergarten and adjusting to his hearing aid in class.  Listening skills are improving.  His report card for last trimester came back full of great news except for one N (needs improvement) for self control.  When I asked his teacher what he was doing she said "at any random moment Matthew will jump up and spout out all kinds of knowledge. It is like he can't contain himself and wants to tell everyone all that he knows, and he knows so much!  It is really hard to teach when he takes over teaching all the time.  We are working on raising his hand"

His reading and writing is just exploding.  I love the notes he writes, but this one definitely topped the list for me.  second only to this is the one he took to his teacher and she told me later.  It read "dear teacher, you know I love you but can we watch a movie?"

Performance

Hailey loves to put on a show for her barbies, and usually she requests William be in the audience as well.  He loves it of course.  Front row seats, excellent entertainment, and all the barbies he can chew on!

Her song and dance routine is unrivaled.  

Matthew has entered the phase of boys are cooler than girls and I am big I need my privacy

We watched Madagascar 3, about the circus animals, and this is what we did for the next hour or so.  What little performers.  Nope, no broken necks. yay!

Caves

Last weekend we received a TON more snow.  And here I was hoping spring was coming soon ha. ha. ha.  So to make lemonade out of lemons so to speak we went out and shoveled ourselves sore making a snow cave.  Curt piled snow in a huge mountain in the shady part of the house to be sure it lasts until June and I (and my "nesting" instincts) dug it out to form a massive cave.  Well, the Eskimos would mock but I think it's lovely.  And the kids love it too.  Big enough for me and all three kids to play very comfortably within.  Curt could even join us if he gets the chance!

Matthew wasn't sure we'd be able to breathe.  So he wanted to make an air hole.  I told him he'd better not unless he wants the entire thing to fall on us!  That got his attention...

...For a minute

 Random Box pictures.  These two have a thing with trying to squish together in small spaces and play there until the close proximity gets the best of them.

 Then they just have to run around like wild ostriches 

 And then they find (or make) somewhere else to feel squishy.

I haven't been very good lately at doing my exercises, so William thought he'd motivate me :)  ENJOY
