First Popsicle

After biking in the heat of the day to Broulim's grocery to return Tangled in the RedBox I decided it was high time I introduce popsicles to Hailey!

She was completely zoned at first, not knowing what to think....

But I think it was a success!

Matthew likes them, but his mouth gets too cold too quick and I usually end up finishing them for him.

He was happy to eat this one though because it was a SUPERHERO brand. :)

What a great thing to do on a HOT Friday afternoon!

Shoeing the horses

This year Curt got the opportunity to learn a new skill from my dad: Horse Shoeing!!

He has watched it a lot before, but doing it is very different. I am proud to say that he did awesome!

The kids and I enjoyed watching and playing with toy horses while we waited.

Poor Hailey had an ear infection and wasn't feeling too well

But she perked up after a little while.

Once we were done I got on Rose and did some schooling. Rose was afraid we would never get off once Hailey got on! I would ask Hailey if she was done and she would shake her head "no" so cute! (how do you like my capris and boots? You do what you have to)

Matthew thought it was pretty awesome to ride all by himself too! (being led)

The next day we took them to the arena at the fair grounds. The shoes are holding perfectly, good job honey!

Horses and more summer fun

This morning we rode our spiffy bikes to my parents (got a flat on the way but luckily it was about 100 yd before we got there) and got out the horses for a great ride!

I had to work Rose pretty hard because she's a big stinker sometimes from lack of training on my part. But she was really good after I schooled her a bit! In fact she took Matthew on a great ride and then went out again so Curt and I could ride together for a little horsey date :) Star's feet were sore for some reason so we couldn't go for too long, but it was so much fun I think I'll do it tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after.....

I WISH!

After horse rides we were all pretty hot so we got out the pool and did a little swimming behind the house where it wasn't so WINDY!

Matthew's lack of body fat doesn't let him linger too long in cold swimming pools in the wind (mom even added a ton of hot bath water for him)

but lounging on grandpa's star gazing chair makes up for it!

Curt was fixing my bike tire and dad was getting the grill ready

I can't believe this crazy little guy can already swing by himself!

but ultimately this is his favorite way to do it

I had to dump the water out eventually to get Hailey out of there. She refused any other way!

Mom's great tulip picture! They are beautiful and she said it's funny that they are still blooming. Probably because it's been so stinking cold here all spring!!!

We all got plenty (too much) sun today and came home wore out but the kids and I still wanted to be outside some more so we played with friends for a couple more hours and I received rather red arms, nose and neck for a reward. But it was worth it (until my nose peels. I hate that part)!

lucky for us making faces in the camera is one of our favorites! This was actually on our anniversary I think. It was FIVE YEARS on June 3!!!

some friends of ours had us over for a bbq and their next door neighbors who are also some of our other friends got the kiddie pool out! We really need to get one of these.

Petti skirt

I made Hailey a petti skirt some time ago, and now I am finally posting the pictures! It feels like I have gotten so busy lately. Before Hailey was born I used to spend a lot of time on my blog and reading friends' blogs. In fact I remember getting frustrated thinking why don't they post more often?! And now I definitely understand!!! Well my biggest problem lately has been that we haven't been doing very many interesting things. Hopefully as the summer goes on and we go on more vacations and things I will have more to share. These kids have me running crazy all the time anyway!!
