Our Yellowstone Adventure and Curt's BIRTHDAY!!

Last weekend we went with my parents, my aunt Teresa, uncle Mike, Grandpa Mel, Grandma Patsy, Jenny and her two girls Aspen and Melodie to Yellowstone. It was super fun! Matthew is such a good little camper. Even though most of the time all he wanted to do was play in the truck. He got plenty of truck time driving around seeing the sites though!

This is the scowl that he regularly gives now. The funniest part is when you scowl back and he can't help but smile through his scowl.

This picture is a little out of order, but when we got back Cody and Tricia were here for a visit! They'll be here all week and we are so excited! Matthew absolutely loves playing with Wesley!!!

Here's a picture of Matthew and me (in all my pregnancy fatness that I could be at 3 months). Poor little guy was so tuckered out from all of the walking around stinky geothermal attractions!

We didn't see very much wildlife this trip, which was slightly disappointing, but we saw a few very large buffalo, a couple of elk and a mule deer.

oh, and chipmunk or two.

Sunday was Curt's birthday!!!! HAPPY 26th!!!!!!!! We celebrated at my parent's house with a delicious dinner of Chicken Curry, breadsticks, and strawberry pie for dessert! It was delicious and so much fun!

After dinner we had to go for a walk because we were so stuffed! Little Matthew couldn't last and took a powernap.

I just wanted to tell Curt how glad I am that he was ever born and we could celebrate his birthday! He has changed my life for the good so much and I could not imagine it without him now! We're two peas in a pod and sometimes we butt heads, but in the end we are a perfect match! Happy birthday honey! I hope this year is one of the best ever you've had so far!

And last but not least Matthew got a little EXTRA painting time while Daddy and Grandpa worked on the lock with a wire hanger after locking the keys in the car. They managed and we made it home in one peice with no major meltdowns!!!! Ok, well there was probably at least ONE...maybe 2. But it was a blast! Thank you mom and dad for letting us camp with you!!!

And Matthew wanted to join them.

We went swimming in the Resevoir. It was wonderful water! Rather windy.

Then we ate lunch and took a delightful and much needed nap!

Shortly thereafter Matthew fell in. Well no, he dove in. After he saw me dive in to rescue Grandma Janet's sunglasses. The second pair in a row that got tossed in the water. Sorry I couldn't save the first pair mom!

Then Matthew got to do some fishing of his own with a plastic fish.

Curt caught this monstrous beast early on! Beautiful German Brown Trout. We ate him. The fish, not Curt.

Grandma Janet quickly distracted him with dandelion fluff.

First thing in the morning after Matthew woke up all he wanted to do was play in the car. Notice the tear streaked face because I wouldn't let him...yet.

We went camping at McCoy Creek with my parents this weekend. It was absolutely wonderful! I love camping!

more Bear Lake

Here's a couple of pictures from the park in Paris, Idaho. This had to be the coolest park I have ever been to, ESPECIALLY for a small town!! Look at all of those slides! And there were more you can't even see. Matthew had more fun at this park than any other. He was climbing all over it and going down the BIG slides like a champ!

Matthew and Jexten were really cute little buddies on our Bear Lake trip. Many times we'd wonder where our boys were and we'd look around and see these two off exploring or getting into some kind of mischeive together. I hope that they will always be such good friends (they're cousins, so they may as well like it!)

Bear Lake 2009

We had a fun trip to Bear Lake for the 4th. We got enough beach and sun, a parade, fireworks, park, pizza, and four wheeler rides to last us for a while.
Matthew had a lot of fun at the parade, but it was really hot. I was lucky to get him to wake up for it though. It took some coaxing. He was taking such a nice nap!

This was part of Matthew's sickie time when we got home. He's still getting better. He came home with a terrible ear infection. All he wanted to do for almost two days was sleep.

We got a bike seat (and didn't use it....this was just a test run) for the Bear Lake trip. It's ok though, we'll use it a lot more!!


I think that Matthew's favorite part of the trip was the four wheeler rides! He could not get enough! It was so hard for him to share when it was someone else's turn.

Matthew and Tanna had to take a break from the beach.

Tanna had a stick with some fishing line and a plastic fish tied to it, Matthew kind of took it over...good thing Tanna was so willing to share! He played with it a LOT!

I'll put more pictures up of our trip when I get them from Mom and Vicky. I thought I took more than this, but apparantly I was too busy feeling exhausted, nautious and hungry (see post below!)

We're EXTREMELY excited to welcome another baby into our family! I can't wait to see Matthew be a big brother. I know he'll be great!
