No, like literally where the sidewalk ends. This is where they gravitate. It is about the death of me. But they are actually really good and they don't go IN the road. I guess this is where the ants like to live and gosh do they ever love catching ants. I am not sure what's so fascinating about them but I like to think that they were placed on this Earth for, among other smaller reasons, to keep kids happy!

i really, really like this post for several reasons. one, when i got jexten his graduadion present (library card) i was on a shel silverstein kick and got Where the sidewalk ends, poems and drawings, two, ANTS we have also been fascinated by ants lately, and they are cropping up everywhere! so i have become somewhat obsessed with the capture(and killing) of ants. my third reason for loving this post is the pair of them together, just sitting. i have loved listening in on some of adessa and jexten's little conversations, i can only imagine the instruction and comments these two are sharing. summer is great for siblings!!! by the way we miss you so much we went for a bike ride, during the bike ride the kids decided to just keep going all the way to matthew's house. so i let them keep going as far as they could while we talked about it. we got as far as the animal shelter before we stopped to take a break. adessa came to the reality, after doing some math calculations that it was pretty much impossible to make it to your house on bike. "it would take 18 hours of going non stop if we kept a constant 10mph pace, and it is uphill most of the way.so that will not be happening." :) so we turned around and went to the park instead! but i really love your post!
